Jeff Place on INPO’s strategy for industry growth

From its headquarters in Atlanta, Ga., the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations engages with nuclear power plants in the U.S. and around the world. The organization has been responding to the needs of the industry since 1979. INPO’s contributions to the industry’s success are sometimes not well understood outside the nuclear utilities it serves. However, the organization is now eager to show how decades of focus on safety and reliability have enabled member utilities—and new entrants to the nuclear industry—to capitalize on today’s growth opportunities. To that end, Jeff Place, the executive vice president for industry strategy at INPO recently sat down for an interview with Nuclear News editor-in-chief Susan Gallier to talk about the organization’s role, value, and importance of the organization. Read more: For an overview on INPO’s data collection work, its differences from the NRC, and more on how the World Association of Nuclear Operators fits into the picture, read the full interview on Nuclear NewsWire.
